JUNIOR SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST

Evans HQ: Brookfield, WI

Reports to Operations Supervisor

Evans’ Junior Supply Chain Analysts assists in supply chain reporting, trend analysis, pricing evaluations, optimization, and other general supply chain analysis. In addition, the Junior Supply Chain Analysts will assist in managing LTL cost analysis and negotiations while leveraging in-depth analytics to achieve our business objectives.

Essential Functions:


    • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports for internal and external customers
    • Work closely with the Analytics and Solutions team to interpret, analyze and recommend data-driven solutions.
    • Execute Solutions and Operations ad hoc reporting requests
    • Solicit bids from LTL service carriers on behalf of Evans clients
    • Assist with negotiation freight terms, pricing, and accessorial charges on behalf of Evans clients
    • Respond to customer requests and assist in resolving customer issues
    • Become fluent in the language of logistics
    • Other duties as required

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

  • High level of organizational and multitasking skills
  • Intuitive problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, advanced experience with Excel preferred
  • Understanding and working knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software
  • Team-oriented
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic
  • Speaks and writes in English fluently

Desired But Not Required:

 

  • 1-2 years of experience in the shipping and transportation industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of relevant experience
