Our spotlight this month is Double D Express Inc, based in Peru, IL. They've been in business since 1985 when Gary Dahl saw the need for a reliable Illinois LTL carrier.

Evans has been working with Double D for a little over a year now, and we see several parallels in how we both approach business.

We asked Josh Francque at Double D a few questions about 3PL partners, relationships, etc. Here's what he had to say:

“Like Evans, we cultivate relationships and earn business based on our integrity and trust. What we look for in a 3PL partner is support. There is a wide variety of 3PLs in the market today, but we are looking for a partner who helps us help their customers. We all need to succeed.

When it comes to building relationships with regional carriers, communication is vital. Many carriers, including Double D Express, have a specific niche. Do your homework, and you'll be able to fit the carrier to your customers' needs.

As far as challenges go, there's been a crisis around every corner over the past two years. During these times and always, we focus on our core values – relationship and service.”
