With Grateful Acknowledgement of Our Past, We Evolve to Ensure Our Infinite Future

Over the past three decades since our 1985 establishment, Evans Transportation Services, Inc. (Evans) has grown to become a premier provider of full-service, third-party logistics solutions. We owe much of that success to the leadership and guidance of our Founding President, Marty Johnson, and Founding Executive Vice President, Charlie Keepman.
With that said, we recognize that – for Evans to continue to succeed – we need to continue to evolve. Marty has decided to retire and pass the torch of leadership to a new generation. You’ll be able to find him soaking up the sun at his Florida home, enjoying lake life with his family in his Wisconsin hometown, and at the airport, heading to his next bucket-list travel destination. Charlie will also take a step back from the business to work on his tennis and golf games, chase his children and grandchildren around to their various sporting events, and spend more time building relationships throughout his Florida community. Charlie will retain his majority ownership of Evans. Both Marty and Charlie will continue to provide strategic guidance throughout Evans’ journey as members of the Board, with Charlie as its Chairman. We are excited to announce that – henceforth from today – Evans will be led by Ryan Keepman, President.

After graduating with an Economics Degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 2004, Ryan gained transportation industry experience at the Ohio-based Tri-State Expedited Services, Inc., growing their presence in Illinois and Wisconsin. In 2007, Ryan joined the Evans Team where he has spent the past eleven years working in all areas of its business, from Accounting to Operations, and – for the past three years – Sales and Marketing as the Vice President of Logistics Sales, growing the company by 12 percent in 2016 and 14 percent in 2017.

“It has been a privilege to work for an established 3PL that does the right thing, and it is hard to believe that it has already been eleven years,” says Ryan. “I am honored to lead this company and want to thank Marty and Charlie for trusting in my leadership and our team to tackle the next chapter of Evans’ history together.

“2018 will be a milestone year for Evans with projected growth of over 20 percent by year-end, and we’re not stopping there,” states Ryan. “We’re hiring and hungry, developing proactive solutions to support our current and future clients.”

Despite the volatile and highly competitive nature of the logistics industry, our unique commitment to outsourced transportation management, dedicated customer service, and best-in-class technology has allowed us to maintain leadership against our 13,000-plus competitors throughout our 33 years of service. Our goal is to become the best transportation management provider in the market; combined with our increasingly relentless dedication to constant innovation, we’re perfectly positioned for accelerated leadership: “2018 will be a milestone year for Evans with projected growth of over 20 percent by year-end, and we’re not stopping there,” states Ryan. “We’re hiring and hungry, developing proactive solutions to support our current and future clients.” To maximize the efficacy of these solutions, we implement the best in logistics technology: “We partner with the leaders of all industry tech segments. Trailblazers like MercuryGate International, project44, and Truckstop.com have and will continue to enhance the Evans Experience (EX) for both our clients and carrier partners.”

We make this announcement with the utmost appreciation for our team, clients, carrier relationships, and industry partners, all who have helped Evans flourish over the past three decades. Here’s to an infinite future defined by Growing Together!
