And just like that, Home Delivery World 2025 is a wrap! Our team recently spent several days in Nashville, meeting current and prospective customers and showcasing the Evans Experience to the parcel industry.
We also took time to walk the show floor and learn what’s new in the world of parcel and how Evans can continue to stay on the cutting edge and deliver the best value to our customers.
Here are some of our biggest takeaways from Home Delivery World 2025:
Home Delivery World made it clear that in the current, unpredictable market, shippers are laser-focused on cutting costs and actively reducing risk. This drive is front and center as businesses navigate fluctuating demands and economic pressures, making efficiency and stability top priorities.
It was also interesting to see artificial intelligence and data-driven logistics showcased at the show this year. AI is increasingly being leveraged across the board to optimize delivery routes, manage driver schedules, evaluate driver performance, modernize repeatable tasks and enhance service levels. Carriers and 3PLs are also leaning more on AI agents to achieve cost-cutting goals. However, there’s still a healthy debate around which operational areas should be automated and where real human interaction remains a worthwhile investment.
At Evans, we strive to use AI to optimize our work and proactively deliver solutions while still providing personalized, human-to-human interactions through the Evans Experience. in providing customers solutions. It was great to see how our peers are utilizing AI as we constantly evaluate new ways to utilize the technology.
As we continue to see technology implemented into our industry in new ways, I was reminded that real-time visibility and transparency powered by technologies like IoT are foundational to managing dynamic supply chains. Companies are investing in tools like predictive alerts, centralized data systems and automated issue resolutions to enhance visibility and proactively tackle disruptions before they escalate. By leveraging these tools using a combination of AI and human oversight, Evans can deploy this critical data to our customers in real-time and in a personalized manner.
This year’s conference also emphasized the importance of collaboration across the supply chain to meet evolving consumer demands. Strategic partnerships enable companies to scale operations, diversify shipping methods and enhance delivery capabilities. It was great to spend time with current partners as well as explore future partner opportunities.
Finally, we noticed that sustainability and zero emissions initiatives continue to be a hot topic in the industry. Evans’ booth was located just outside the zero emissions theater, which stayed full the entire show. We attended a number of engaging presentations, and it is clear that environmental concerns continue to shape industry practices. Companies are investing in eco-friendly packaging, carbon-neutral deliveries and electric vehicles to meet sustainability goals and evolving consumer expectations.
Home Delivery World truly showcased the incredible diversity of technology solutions emerging in our industry. While each company’s solutions shared many core functionalities, each one offered a unique twist or specialized end result. For Evans, this wealth of options is invaluable as we strive to be a solutions hub for our clients. We have so many unique tools at our disposal to bring best-in-class solutions to our customers’ unique challenges
Beyond the technology, it was great to spend some face time with current and prospective customers alike and hear the challenges they’re currently facing. At Evans, we solve problems for our clients every day, but it was exciting to get to do some in-person problem solving and brainstorming. I left the show feeling refreshed and more inspired than ever to help solve our customers’ problems and help them focus on what they do best.
It was also a pleasure getting to know some of our industry colleagues, and it really showed why our Evans Experience is now more important than ever. While there are so many great companies offering solid solutions, not one can provide the spectrum of customized solutions that Evans offers.
One particularly interesting trend we saw at Home Delivery World was the significant emphasis on white glove shipping. It's clear this specialty mode is becoming increasingly vital for many brands and its growth is only going to accelerate. Shippers are actively seeking partners who can provide a reliable service, and they're willing to pay a premium for that assurance. At Evans, we're actively expanding our footprint in this crucial white glove space to meet that growing demand.
The conference also reinforced the necessity of continued investment into technology and analytics for both 3PLs and end-shippers. Offering advanced tools isn't just a differentiator anymore; it's a prerequisite to even be in the game. We’re seeing that the true differentiator is bringing the human element to support the use of the tools and data to help partners make the best decisions for their business, not just reactively but proactively as well. Customization and usability are key!
As we leave Home Delivery World, it’s clear that the logistics industry is moving fast. Customers want bigger, more complex shipments delivered quickly and cost-effectively, and real-time visibility and transparency has become the expectation. Our team left Nashville energized to continue providing creative solutions for our clients, blending innovative technology with the human touch of the Evans Experience.
