The Women of Evans: Brittany Brinkman

Team Evans

08 March 2024

In the spirit of growth and celebration, the Women of Evans initiative is a journey of introducing, empowering, and connecting several members of Team Evans throughout the month of March.

Our initiative aims to cultivate a supportive environment where women can thrive personally and professionally by fostering collaboration and building bridges across Evans. What better way to celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day on March 8th than to introduce several Women of Evans? Please allow us to introduce to you Senior Carrier Procurement Representative, Brittany Brinkman- in her words.

Biography

Evans_WOE Brittany headshot w frameI have two kids, 11 and 6, and two dogs, a red heeler and a blue heeler. In our free time we love to enjoy the outdoors and exploring. My kids are heavily involved in bowling, basketball and competitive cheer which keeps us on our toes and constantly busy.

I started at Evans of June 2015 and never looked back. The past 8.5 years have gone extremely quick and have definitely allowed me to grow personally and professionally. Being a part of team Evans has always been a fun adventure and I swear it gets better every year.

Fun Factoid

I have been bowling off and on for over 20 years. It’s a sport that my whole family does and loves.

What motivates you?

The biggest thing that motivates me is not only my kids but the ability to surprise myself. I love setting goals, personal and professional goals and just crushing them. I want to show my kids that you can always reach for the stars, even if something is standing in your way.

What does International Women's Day mean to you?

International Women’s Day means recognizing everything we have had to overcome as women. Not too long ago it was not the “norm” to have women working or even in any management role. Now, we see women thriving every day and achieving more and more.

Who are the women in your life who have had a lasting impact?

My whole life I have had an amazing role model. My mom raised myself and my brother alone and worked harder than anyone I have ever known. She never made any excuses and rose to any occasion no matter what was in her way. If there’s anything I want to take away from my childhood, it’s my mom's empowerment and work ethic.
