The Women of Evans: Stephanie Applonie

Team Evans

26 March 2024

In the spirit of growth and celebration, the Women of Evans initiative is a journey of introducing, empowering, and connecting several members of Team Evans throughout the month of March.

Our initiative aims to cultivate a supportive environment where women can thrive personally and professionally by fostering collaboration and building bridges across Evans. What better way to celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day on March 8th than to introduce several Women of Evans? Please allow us to introduce to you Senior Customer Service Representative, Stephanie Applonie- in her words.

Biography

Evans_WOE Stephanie headshot w frameI am a mom of three daughters and wife of 20 years! We enjoy our home with our three fur babies and one reptile here in AZ. We are very family oriented spending much of our free time with extended family and watching our youngest in sports. We serve our community church and love the time spent there as well.

I began my transportation career journey with Evans Transportation back in July of 2008 when we first moved to Wisconsin. My journey with the company has been one with many hats. During my first stint with Evans I was in dispatch, customer service/tracking and reception. Like I stated before, many hats. I returned after having our youngest in 2011 to Evans in 2016. Since then I again have worn many hats in the Customer service world and now transitioning into Account Management. I look forward to what my future holds!!!

Fun Factoid

I am very involved my faith and our church. One of my favorite things I have ever experienced was a mission trip to Kenya in the summer of 2015.

What does International Women's Day mean to you?

I am so happy that we are able to celebrate International Women’s day and Women’s History Month. It is so important that we appreciate those strong women who have paved the path in the professional world. I believe we still have a long way to go in this world and celebrating these times can be a great launching pad for all women no matter their path.

Who are the women in your life who have had a lasting impact?

I have great women in my life. My grandmother, mother and sister are the three that come to my mind immediately for having a huge impact on my life. While we have all been through ups and downs in life they have shown me great strength, resilience and grace through it all. I have many aunts and cousins whom I can turn to in life any time I may need an ear to bend as well and I will forever be grateful for that.

Thank you, Stephanie, for sharing your story!
